Foundry Cranes

Foundry Cranes

A foundry is one of the harshest industrial environments that an overhead crane can be put in.  Under no circumstances should a standard crane be put in a foundry for hot metal handling, most problems that arise on hot metal cranes are a direct result of poor choices that are made when the crane is built.  Putting an off the shelf crane into a foundry environment will undoubtedly cause you years of problems, yet most crane companies will try to sell you an off the shelf crane, perhaps with a few extra bells and whistles to cover their behinds when thing inevitably start to fall apart.  Not us.  If you want junk look somewhere else.  Not only do our hot metal cranes have the “standard” upgrades like 8:1 design factor on the wire rope and power circuit final upper limit switch, but we take it a step further.  We have an 8:1 design factor on ALL critical hoist components, secondary braking is standard and so are class “H” motors, the highest temperature rated motors available.  A few more of the amazing standard features that the other guys make you pay extra for are:
